“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes……..(Revelations 21:4)

The day of graduation from training colleges or skills centres is always a special one. Hard work is finally rewarded, dedication and consistency is applauded and “success” is celebrated. Suddenly, sleepless nights and countless hours of studies are forgotten when the graduation certificate is awarded and day of freedom and independence has finally come!

An individual will be qualified for graduation if he is deemed to have fulfilled all necessary requirements for such certificate. In this journey, some will finish at stipulated duration while few will go at their own pace and regrettably, others will withdraw from the training programme and will not be qualified for graduation.

We’re all enrolled in the school of life the moment we arrive this world. Depending on individual choice, we determine how we finish the race (Romans 8:13). The truth is that, a day of reward is certainly approaching (II Cor 5:10) – to the faithful ones, they shall be crowned and celebrated; while some shall be damned. However, it’s the Lord’s plan that no one should perish but that all men should come to repentance and ultimately finish well in order to be crowned. Therefore when you consider the joy that is set before you (Heb 12:2), the onus demands that you avoid distractions, play the game according to the rules and leverage on the access and opportunities provided by the helper of the helpless – Jesus Christ.

Unlike earthly graduation ceremonies whereby the euphoria is for a while, heavenly one brings eternal joy for we shall be with the lover of our souls forever (I Thess 4:17). We shall put on celestial body as this corruptible one shall be done with. No more borrowed garments and shoes for all shall appear with white apparel. HOW PREPARED ARE YOU FOR YOUR GRADUATION DAY?
